Hi again Jeff,
The only reason why I knew was due to my curiosity about rum rations after talking to a RN submarine sailor when my boat visited the Royal Naval Dockyard Rosyth back in the 1980s. A debate broke out between older and younger RN sailors of which was better the beer or the rum.
