Oh, I’m very familiar with Free/NetBSD, most of the Linux distros, etc., having used them since before they were version 1.0. Free/NetBSD were frequently cited as being more secure at one point, and they may still be but I’ve sort of standardized on Linux and I’ll be migrating out of the Apple ecosystem in the next 2-3 years as I’m retiring at the end of the year.
