Because you have to make a tradeoff between playability and detailed
rationality, sometimes. Tonnage (displacement) _is_ already a factor,
remember - your fuel requirement is based on both J and T - but hull type
isn't, and you may not want to Go There. I didn't, when I wrote my handwave
on 27 June.
