The Home Port
The Port-of-Call
The Holding Pattern
The Suds-idized Merchant (actually, this is probably a brew-pub, not just a
bar. In any case, it's known for one particular beer (which is probably the
one they brew themselves))
The Amber Zone (may also be a brew-pub - but in any case, serves a large
variety of beers, and may not bother serving anything harder)
The biggest bar at a type A or B starport will be called "The Blue Giant"
An establishment in the coreward parts of the Imperium that caters to Vargr
may well be called "The Vargr Enclave".
The bar's papers will list it as "The Extravehicular Inactivity", but
everyone - including the sign over the door - just calls it "EVI".
Somewhere, some wag is going to open a bar in the extrality zone and insist
on naming it "The Starport Bar".
Somewhere else, where Terran Greek isn't unknown, there _will_ be a place
called "Molon Labe" ('Come and Get It'). No, it doesn't have to be a
political statement, though it can be - and may very well be. But the
straightforward literal meaning works, too... (this may also be a pub,
rather than a bar)
You can always get away with picking a local notable animal, and a color,
and putting them together - "The Orange Demon", "The Silver Incorial", "The
Red Kirpi", "The Blue Rhabdomane", "The Green Hornet", "The Gray Goose",
"The White Hart", "The White Rabbit", and so on.
