message from Windekind Farms landowners!! Dave Brautigam 26 Mar 2018 11:53 EDT
Hello CHNSA Skiers,

I hope you'll take a moment to read the forwarded attachment from our friends and neighbors, Mark and Marijke Smith, owners of the lovely Windekind Farm and hosts of some of the trails you're used to skiing (Dead River Run, Skunk Brook Trail, Jackrabbit, Windekind Meadow, Marijke's Mainline).

Mark and Marijke are in the middle of a generational transition as they look to pass on the stewardship of land they have owned and cared for since the 1960's. They are interested in identifying Nordic skiers as future owners who will encourage and protect the access to these recreational trails on their land. Toward that end, I'm hoping that you'll read their attached message and consider whether you or a friend might find living at Windekind Commons an appealing future. Please feel free to share the Smith's appeal with friends.

Thanks,
Dave Brautigam, President
CHNSA

HI Dave,

Yes some great end of the season skiing— I recall it was like that last year. Looks like the road will do the season in shortly. Thank you for offering to post the text on the latest flyer— here it is below. Let me know if you have any questions or thoughts.

See you soon.

Mark

Again, be aware that the parking lot is turning to mud. Still enough frost in the ground that you don't sink much, but that will limit how much longer we stay officially open.
