[1] Spoilery footnote: This isn't quite true.  The investigations revolve
around looking into a cult that's got a wayward offspring parents are
concerned about (so far, so very very Traveller as I'm pretty sure that's a
bog standard Patron Encounter I've come across all over the place - there
could probably be a bibliography of JUST those!  Anyway, as far as I can
make out, the cult is, I think, genetically altering its adherents to
look/be more like if not aliens themselves (though possibly that too), the
precursory beings seen in the newer films.  Not sure yet.
