I've proposed something similar, but TC hasn't bought into it. I might
suspect a touch of Imposter Syndrome, but I'm not opposed to keeping it as
CoaNR; 'tradition' and recognizeability is not a bad thing.

No; I've been on Win11 for a while; it's Microsoft's decision to decommit
from the program (to the point where if you're using Publisher 365, not
only won't they support and upgrade it after the "kill date", they will
literally not permit it to run). My use of it was right in the 'sweet
spot', too complex for doing it with Word or PowerPoint (which Microsoft is
suggesting as replacements), and not "pro"/fiddly enough to warrant using
something high-end like InDesign or QuarkExpress. The free Scribus was a
bit too high-end in its capabilities and learning curve; Affinity Publisher
allows more fiddly than Microsoft Publisher, but still sits comfortably in
that neighborhood between Word/PowerPoint and InDesign.
