You don’t need to go to all the trouble of getting something up to near-c speeds

Just dropping rocks on a planet is good enough

Find 10, 20, 50 half descent sized asteroids, nudge them onto the right course, and even speed them up if you want

Stand back and watch the devastation

I mentioned in an earlier post about the TV series "Secrets In The Ice" shown on The Science Channel. The program was 2 Episode 8 that aired on 3/21/2022.
