All, This may have been beat to death (and if so, simply tell me where to look...), but: Looking through the Behind the Claw and Reft Sector books, there are only a small handful of systems with no populations (to be fair, a couple have VERY low populations, obviously research teams or the like) and very few with no starports. There don't appear to be any/many systems unimportant enough to simply have been simply surveyed and passed by because there was nothing worthwhile there. Is this because after a zillion years, every system WOULD be populated? Or, is this because, from a gaming POV, non-entity systems aren't present because they're not needed? Or do the various canon maps only show systems with populations, star ports, or other importance, and it's assumed there are other stars in the empty hexes that are essentially useless for travelling via jump? What about stars without planets? I've often wondered about this; thoughts? Bill Rutherford xxxxxx@comcast.net
