Aw c'mon, Tim!

While, in theory, there should be a better writer somewhere in the TU, we're not about to let you bale on us!

LOL!  I think I'll take that as a compliment.  :-)   (I'm definitely convinced there must be a bunch of better TU writers out there somewhere...)

So kindly just put that thought right out of your head!

But thank you.

It seems fair enough to inflict pretty much 'whatever' on TML (though I hope I'd not do such that would get me thrown off), but I like having an editor make a decision on what they feel is of sufficient quality to put out there rather than just be desperate to fill pages.  (It's why I resisted March Harrier Publishing for so long).  (Well, that and knowing I'd not be much cop at design even if I believe in the content).

And just in case it's not clear from the above, I know that Jeff exercises editorial oversight.

In fact I recently submitted something that I was quite pleased with when I sent it, but he's spotted failings I hadn't seen and, when I get a moment, I'm hoping I can fix it sufficiently to be a much better thing

At the Bar (in the latest issue) was also improved by Jeff gently suggesting I take another look at certain deficiencies.  Of course he only had himself to blame then when it came back substantially longer.  :-)
