Back in the middle ages, there were ‘holidays’ (holy days, meaning days for saint’s festivals) nearly every week in some cases, certainly at least one per month.
Yes, my Czech friend taught me that Eastern Europe still does this. She gave me a calendar with saints' names on each day. You could find your name and celebrate that day. I think I understood her to say that you celebrated that day more than your birthday.
(there are some oddities like January 6th 'Tři králové' which even my limited Czech can read as 'three kings' - which would make sense on Epiphany even if the gospels never specified a number of wise men, just three gifts)
but I believe it's different for different countries... makes sense with different names. Balkanisation for you.
The Czechs don't really have 'Timothy' but if I look at the original meanings then Bohumil comes close. So, October 3rd.
Perhaps the Church of Sylea has a similar list and the Restored Canon Church of Sylea has a different list.
now there's a thought. Go through every published Traveller source and note every first name given to a character and compile such a list for the Third Imperium... noooooo, that way lies madness....

PS OK, this is really weird. I glanced down the list to find my friend's name. Lenka. It just so happens to be today!! What are the odds of that. OK, OK, I know. 365 to 1. Still weird...!
