T4: Book 1 p. 92 QSDS 1 dton is the equivalent to 14 m^3 or the volume of 1 metric ton (1000 kg) of liquid hydrogen.

T4: Book 2 Starships SSDS p. 70 1 dton is the equivalent to 14 m^3

T4: Book B FF&S p. 7 1 dton "is 14 m^3 and is the volume requiring metric ton of pure liquid hydrogen."

MgT 1 dton is approximately 14 m^3

The best answer is that 1 dton is 14 m^3.

Small? That's what 2 dTons looks like. I.e. Middle passage. 

Not sure any more what a dton equals in cubic meters. I've been using the GT English 500 cubic feet per dton for too long.

The article states the floorspace of a unit as 104 square feet. While it doesn't give a height measurement, the overhead looks quite low. So I'm thinking it's probably actually a bit less than two full dtons. But then, that "wastage" probably goes into access space, anyway.
