Agreed.  Wasn't the book/expansion that it debuted in called "BLAZING
LASERS" or something similar?  (oh, right, "Brilliant Lances")

They are right there in the TNE core rule book.

IME the biggest problem with them was that any warship would have enough fuel for combat manoeuvres that if they weren't going to be getting into fights they could jump two or more times between refuelling.
