Well the answer is that depends... Foremost on what edition and set of technical assumptions you are using.

CT alluded to several different methods. But it was largely unremarked on.
MT had a convoluted method of over running the drive.
TNE had contragrav and Heplar.
T5 has Lifters.
Mongoose can't be bothered  to think of a technical detail.

And I know I am missing a couple of more suggestions.

The real answer is what works for your game.

Right now I am pondering a mid tech game that uses your assumption, As such all planetary landing craft require 2g maneuver and Streamlining.
