Afternoon PDT Evyn MacDude,
Yes, CT Striker Book 3 p. 8 does have comments about how grav generators operate in reference to ground vehicles which in theory can be used by water craft, missiles, drones, and aircraft. The information provided states that grav generators require 0.1 MW of power per ton of thrust. I have played around with the idea of importing CT Striker grav generators into CT Book 2 and Book 5. So far I have not figured out a method I like.
CT Book 2 Starships and CT Book 5 High Guard suggests that the power plant supplies energy points to the M-Drive which provides the thrust needed to travel in normal space. CT Starships and High Guard does not indicate that there is a separate system dedicated to hovering. This suggests that the M-Drive could be used to hover which might include less powerful M-Drive components fixed along the ship's hull that is sitting above the landing surface.
The amount of power needed to operate the M-Drive and/or systems that allow hovering still is not identified in CT Book 2 or Book 5.
