... clearly that's a different rank list (and much more what I was expecting) than the Mongoose Traveller one.  Without getting off my chair to find it in CT I'm assuming your list comes from CT.  As I say, much more what I was expecting.

Well, I'm in a hybrid of MgT1 and MgT2 anyway, maybe I will just use the old ranks and come up with a handwave if anyone notices.  (Which I would bet good money they wouldn't).
