Evening Evyn,

There are a number of rules in all Traveller rule sets, which includes MgT 1e and MgT 2e, that I find silly based on my background as kid growing up as an USAF dependent, serving in the USN for twenty years, and picking up odd bits and pieces of knowledge.

I'm still trying to get a handle on the design section for spacecraft and have not checked out anything past the High Technology chapter.

MgT HG 2e changed the use the potential table for the power plant, maneuver drive, and jump drive into formulas for all the hull sizes. Determining fuel tank requirement was also changed to a formula with the minimum of 1 ton of fuel. The calculated fuel tank size or minimum of 1 ton runs the power plant for power plant for 4 weeks. Of course HG 2e omitted the small craft option of having fuel tanks less than one ton.

So far I think HG 2e is better for spacecraft design, even though I'm stumbling badly on some the rules like those for the Primitive and Advanced Spacecraft options with weapons and screens.

It's the silly Dog-fighting rules that get me....
