I will add that while the author does use human proofreaders I did spot a number of 'proofread by spell check' errors in all four books and while he does have a lot of alien species, he does not characterize them well (Eg they come across as 'humans in suits'.) but the plotting is pretty good and the author understands Leslie Neilsen's Law: 'The better the villain is, the more in control of the situation they seem to be, the better the hero's look when they win.'.

From the ending of book four I have a pretty good idea of what is going to happen in book five in the general sense, but I look to see how they handle this.
