LOL! She sounds a lot like the Engineer I played in a game years and years ago. She built herself a hot tub in one corner of the cargo hold and defended it presence there tooth and nail and tool! I did a whole series of 3D images of her.

That's all I need.  Sufficient to say to players "it's not unreasonable.  if you want to look into the math/s be my guest, but you're on your own".

Not that my current set of players is likely to get too fussed by this.  They're all remarkably accepting of whatever I throw at them as complete newbies (for the most part).

Although presumably as we get more details it might give us little wrinkles of detail or problems to throw at the engineers.  Which will suit my one non newbie player who's the engineer.  (I've been compiling a 'to do' list for her of glitches both big and small as I think of them.) [1]. It might be worth sharing it at some point though I'm sure you guys would triple it in a blink.

[1] though to be fair she's pretty good at coming up with her own jobs to do.  Not the least of which was building the most secure terrarium you've ever seen when one of the other players bought some cute squeedles on board as pets.  And we haven't even started on the anolas yet.  (Just encountered them last session.  They're already suspicious....)
