The amount of available energy is only part of the issue. Even if they do have enough energy (like you, I'm guessing they will) they may not have the right equipment to safely separate the hydrogen. The danger is that there will be an extremely exothermic reverse reaction (explosion), releasing the energy that went into separating the hydrogen. They will need a properly designed processing facility to get the hydrogen safely released and stored.
