SLUG is a good example, FUDGE is the rules-heavier version

It works really well, but requires a GM who can think on his or her feet, but it’s awesome for roadtrip frisbee games (everyone crammed into the car on a road trip, the gm uses a frisbee to roll some dice in. What, you don’t routinely travel with a bag of multisided dice? What are you, a Barbarian?? Hold on, let me guess [rattle rattle clatter] Why yes, you apparently ARE a barbarian, who is suddenly faced with a fully armed Space Marine…what do you do? :-)
