One of the first ambitious computer programs I ever wrote was a Traveller character generator. I had lots of fun around handling the died-during-generation case. :)

Not sure how seriously on can take someone who disses dying during character generation. Even if you fudge those rolls, it's part of the cache of the game. Something that sets it apart.

When we rolled up the characters two weeks ago for TNE, the one thing I missed was the chance of injury leading to a possible discharge/permanent attribute lowering.
