I'm gradually adding support for other eras to the Traveller Map site itself. If you send me the data I can add it, although using it is a bit tricky as there's no UI yet, but that'll come.

The title is pretty self explanatory.

I'm setting up a TNE campaign in the RC and am working on generating and collecting some nice digital resources for the players. Has anyone converted the data for The Old Expanses and surrounding sectors into a format accepted by the booklet/poster maker on travellermap? If not, where would be a good place to upload when I've finished converting the data from Zhodani Base/BARD to save anyone else the hassle in future?

Also, what would be a good medium/ technique for conversion. For example, if I use .docx or .xlsx if I use tables will the data cut and paste nicely into the form on travellermap? If not can/should I use a particular form of spacing between the data entries on a single line? Do planetary names require a specific number of spaces whether or not all spaces are filled with letters? Any other tips appreciated.

The easiest format for interchange right now is what I call "T5 Tab Delimited":

The only strict requirement is that you MUST have columns named as in the link above, although the contents can be blank. An easy workflow is to work locally in Excel saving XLSX files locally. You can either copy/paste the data from the spreadsheet or save as/export as "tab delimited" and drag/drop the file into the forms.

Double-check your data at:

... which gives more detailed errors than you'll get from the maker tools.

Feel free to email me directly if you run into any problems.
