I described that kind of Base *very briefly* in _Adventure 4: Into the Unknown_ which began in that setting. Essentially I just said the characters had met there and that it consisted of a modular cutter module of an office/briefing room and another with storehouse/bar IIRC. I didn't get into what repair facilities were there - not extensive I should imagine - but it was a great way of using the GURPS Modular Cutter book for some instant deck plans when I knew I didn't need to come up with anything too detailed just for an intro.
However it really worked well for the players in their mind's eye with the wind howling and the dust blowing and the sense of really being out on 'the edge'.

There any descriptions of scout bases out there?
I'm interested in the sort that would be around as the IISS expands
into a new area. Something able to do some repairs and maintenance
but not a big port either.
