Hello again Bruce Johnson,

I guess my recollection about being James Bond is wrong, but

I do remember a movie or made it was a television show that

the bad guy or guys liquefied the gold somehow.

Anyone, besides me that is remember the plot line?

In the movie (and the book) he planned on strafing the facility with nerve gas, then setting off a nuke in the depository to make the US gold stores radioactive, thus increasing the worth of his own gold stash and bankrupting the US in the bargain because reasons and ‘Bwahahahaha!’. (it made no more sense in the book either…)
He drove in the front gate with tanks and trucks in US Army livery.
