I almost never come to TML to talk about canon. I come here to talk about how to use the Traveller rules in My Own Traveller Universe. 

To sum that up: No grav tech. Jump yes but everything else hard SF. Mostly I am happy with the Traveller rules for creation of stuff but I like to play with Savage Worlds Rules because the play is faster and IMOHO more fun. I am NOT a rules lawyer type. Fast,fun and furious is for me.
