Hello Ethan McKinney,

I did not realize I was being snide and I apologize the the error.

In my opinion being snide at anytime is inappropriate in any situation regardless of how much support information is supplied.

May I point out that in my opinion the the remarks I responded to where also lacking in detailed and accurate arguments.

I will in the future attempt to be more accurate and detailed in such areas and less snide.

I would also apologize to everyone on the TML if my comments have been snide, rude, or any other social error.

Do I have your permission to contact you off the TML using the gmail address to continue this discussion concerning the topic of being snide?

And I have no problem with anyone being snide if they provided detailed and accurate arguments.

Because you made a snide and general assertion without support in response to a very detailed and precise argument on the linked page.

Frankly, the analogy of an F-16 maneuvering against a guided with a starship attempting to dodge a laser doesn't make much sense. The relationships of the ranges is vastly different, so much so that the unguided nature of the laser beams (after leaving the firing ship) actually makes a difference. You can also go back to the JTAS article on TNE space combat and lasers for background.

Hello Ethan,

May I ask why using general and admittedly imprecise terms is such an issue?
