Kurt,

Do you know what is involved in spending 25 years in uniform and attending command and staff colleges?

What do you mean by credentials?

In the first instance I did what any science-minded person would do and experimented to test the hypothesis proposed by the USMC. This started in 2005.
By end of 2007 I was certain the hypothesis was wrong.
From 2007 to about Summer 2009 I worked on understanding the problem. From late 2009 until late 2010 I designed half of the solution, the other half wasn't designed until mid-2013.

Its actually quite simple after the fact to know that complex problems require complex solutions, but simple models. Once the right model was identified, the progress was much easier to make. The USMC had the wrong model, or rather no model as research later showed.

Now I'm waiting for personnel changes in the command structure as a strategy to identify someone who will listen.

I do see my success coming from outside the US DoD though it would benefit more.

My current activity is, or rather was, focused on 'selling' the USMC a doctrine and vehicles designs, however the USMC colonels have a huge problem in listening to a civilian. They would rather lie, including to the Congress, and go one wasting time and money than admit that a civilian has a better idea than they do. The USMC share this trait with the US Army.

So what exactly *are* your credentials that you think you know more than people who have spent their lives in uniform and attended some of the finest staff and command colleges on the planet?
