I was perfectly happy knowing both definitions of "moral":
 1) the lesson to be learnt from the story.
 2) a code of behaviour.

The idea of being taught a moral lesson by the referee reminds me of two experiences, both bad.

And there is the problem. There is a huge difference between playing an adventure with a moral and having a moral inflicted on you. I mean just because you have a moral like, the grass is always greener on the other side, does not mean that you have to seek the greener grass but having the illusion might make a game much more interesting.
