I was able to figure out the radar jammer and from Ethan McKinney’s replies
there would be no need for the radio jammer.

I’ve done comparison between the EMS and the Area Jammers which I think
indicates there are two advantages for selecting an area jammer. The first is
antenna size which, if I understand the Area jammer design, is very small and
the other that the short range could be greater than 480,000 km.
