Hello Timothy Collinson,
I can confirm, using my paper copy of The Traveller Periodical Bibliography copyright 1999. that a Mark "Geo" Gelinas published about ten items for MT and TNE.
Unfortunately, "The Traveller Periodical Bibliography" doesn't not list an entry for either "Dark Star". The closest title in "The Traveller Periodical Bibliography" is the Dark Nebula".
In the copy of "The Traveller Bibliography", same copyright date, I did not find an entry for MGE or MGE Publications in the publishers list.
Looks like I need to check the BITS site to see if the two bibliographies have been updated.
On the web site http://www.travellerbibliography.org/ linked to the MT entry is the publisher MGE that links to a sub-page showing the front and back covers of a 44 page sourcebook titled "Dark River: A sector Divided" by Mark Gelinas copyright 1988.
Looking at the back cover provides additional information.
Hopefully, the link will help you in your search

Subject: [TML] Dark River
I don't suppose anyone has the old Traveller/MegaTraveller supplement Dark River: a sector divided from 1988?
I'd love to ask some questions if you do please?!
I have the author as Mark Gelinas - is that right?
The publisher as MGE. Or is it MGE Publications?
Are there any illustrations? Diagrams? (I'm pretty sure - for something I've not seen that it has Maps, tables and an index).
What's the last *numbered* page? (and if that's not the last page, are there a significant number of additional pages (don't count pages of advertising)?
While I'm not uninterested in web references to it (though I suspect I've seen them), what I'm really interested in is someone who has it in their sticky paws!
Many thanks
tc
(And for those who care, I've recently gone through a 200 page print out of all the *additions* to the second edition of my bibliography to check for consistency and typos. I'm now just tidying up some corners before sending to Andy to hopefully amalgamate with the 2nd edition to produce the 3rd edition) (Or at least a 2.9 edition as I feel I may need to revise many of the old entries to fill out their contents in places.)
