I believe you've independently derived Sturgeon's Law.

I find it delightful and amazing that we, decades later, are engaged in Talmudic analysis of this material, the bulk of which was knocked off haphazardly under deadline pressure. There seems to be a certain segment of humanity drawn to this kind of meta-hobby; the more esoteric parts of Sherlock Holmes fandom come to mind. Traveller the game was great fun; Traveller the analytic-meta-game is also great fun. Lucky us!
