Before going on I do want again apologize skipping a lot of replies, there where just to many and my poor wet ware isn't up to the task and my reply to Ian's post, I can't even find that one, is worse than normal for me.
Back to the reply.
I found Book 5 bettered suited for what I wanted to do and didn't bother going back to Book 2. Thinking about it now I guess you could say I replaced Book 2. Of course that was before I began my project to see what happens when I used Book 2 and Book 5 separately and together to design the OTU designs. Book 2 2nd edition I have been able to get the tonnage and MCr to work out. The crew has some hiccups.

Ah, you are taking background in account is a somewhat generic
setting, understandable. A lot of people saw High Guard as a
replacement game for Book 2 instead of the statistics based Fleet sim
that it truly is.
