I went to see it TWICE (which should really tell you something, given current movie ticket prices and me being your basic skinflint).

Most reviews I've read cite it's resemblance to the original Star Wars, both for the large cast of characters that you find yourself rooting for and the in-group dynamics. Of course, those reviewers probably never played RPGs. Because this motley bunch strongly reminds ME of a group of gamers sitting around a table, alternating between pulling  together and pulling in different directions. 

This is especially true in the prison break scene. I'm NOT posting any spoilers on that - it's simply too good to risk ruining anyone's fun - but the way the scene falls out is EXACTLY like an in-game planning session involving a smart roleplayer playing a rather dense character . . .
