If so, then the 20MGW has to handle twice the peak power.
 
 
This is where engineering math fails me, apparently.
 
I would assume (not knowing such math) that the "peak power" would be when the capacitor initially discharges into the barrel, for each pulse. So why is peak power for the lower powered weapon higher than for the higher-powered weapon? One capacitor releases 100MGW once, the other releases 20MGW five times.

Not claiming to know the answer but are there not pause between the 5 pulse times and the other takes up the whole time?
 
Also don't you get a attack, decay,sustain, release, type of pulse in both cases?
