George pulls his debit card from his wallet and hands it to the salesman.  The salesman scans it and finds there is a CR0.25 balance on it.  George pipes up "how much will that get me?"

Kinda depends on what the situation is....

Are you talking "If someone stopped me as I was walking out of the office this afternoon, and offered me a ship?"
I have to tell you, I'm pretty tired of this rock, so I'd be happy with that deal.
Hell, after the last couple weeks, I'd do a 4 year term on an X-boat. (sigh)

What size crew?
Just me? Me and wife? Type S, of course. Hard to run an "A" with one or two people.

More specifically, using Mongoose rules, I have rolled up 6 characters for a solo game I'm going to run, using the Mythic GM emulator.  I have come up with the following possibilities for a starting ship

Scout ship on loan, no mortgage costs
Free trader with 45% down payment
Lab ship with 48% down payment
Yacht with 58% down payment
Anything else with 39% down payment

So, which would you have?
