Wow!

i can't immediately think of a use for such plans, but they would be fun to see!

I have been fantasizing about doing a complete deck plan for a tigres. I know it is HUGE but I still like to play with the idea. My question to everyone is, what would a realistic deck layout look like?

"printed" at a better size than Cirque.  I'm really loving the adventure, but am frustrated by the small images for the deck plans.  I guess that will be 'rectified' in an electronic set of plans separately, but still...

Even if it makes the book large - in ebook form its not really going to matter.

Some of my basic ideas.

Command centers for each cone of the ship. By cone I mean a point in the middle expanding out to  a section of surface skin. This seems like the best way to me but what are your ideas?

I'm not sure I'd suggest a cone as I think that's going to be difficult to 'map'.  I think - says he having quickly brushed up on portions of a sphere (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spherical_wedge )- you want half a spherical wedge with the internal angle at 45 degrees or 90 maybe.  (when I say 'half' I mean all the wedge above the equator or below it).

Looking at the same web site, I think what I mean is a unit sphere with a surface in the form of a truncated icosahedron like a soccer ball or a 20d might be a better form for traveller.

Skin would be mostly sensors, weapons, ship bays, cargo spaces, thrusters.

Middle would be the main power drive or would it be more like a borg ship with a fractal design?

subsurface would be living quarters, shops, storage (thinking this would be more surface than say control centers.

So from surface to center it would look like this

1 Weapons, sensors, doors
2 Cargo space for most everything with more important cargo being deeper.
3 Work spaces for repair, food prep, stores etc
4 living quarters
5 command and control with more important being deeper
6 main engines, generators other central and important stuff.

Thoughts?

Look forward to seeing it!

Don't hold your breath!
