On a completely different take, I’m working on a universe where there are only two or three actual aliens - all the other aliens are the descendants of modified humans, and basically every person alive is the descendant of somebody who survived the singularity.

Actually there is a fallen empire in my universe called the Kingdom of
Kemet.  The empire didn't fall to an outside enemy but due to
internecian warfare. Their society bears a striking resemblance to
ancient Egypt.  The "hidden backstory" is during their civil war a very
damaged battleship was scuttled in orbit around earth after the
surviving crew went down to the surface. Rescue for this crew never
came and their fate was left unknown. Current records in the archives
of Kemet mention the missing battleship but not much else about the
incident.

Given they had both genders aboard (women were slaves) they managed to
survive in their new home and over time lost their technology.
Corruption of their oral history produced the religions (over
simplified explanation) that we know and study to this day.

So yes.. in my universe the pyramids were built by aliens (sorta) but
not with advanced tech.
