Most of the useful sources of uranium (i.e., concentrated enough to be worth extracting) in most solar systems are going to be deep in the cores of large planets, like Earth. Are you willing to disassemble habitable planets to make your bombs? :)

I'm working on a piece of fiction and when I run the numbers on how many nuclear warheads the ship can carry, I come up with some rather large numbers. This leads me to posing this question to the group:

With the resources of a solar system similar to ours, how many nuclear weapons would it be possible to construct? I know we've made quite a few with what we've extracted from the ground just in the last 70 years, but what about system wide, or a couple systems?

Thanks!
