3/1 The local custom for beggars is to provide day permits for different areas up to a maximum quota on a first-come-first-served basis - any beggars without one better get scarce. As the group is passing by one particularly youthful example, another offworlder starts loudly talking about “how horrible this is” and “on civilized worlds” and so on, apparently ramping up to beat the poor boy.

3/2 a wandering street performer, apparently without a permit, keeps popping up nearby the players as they do their business in the public areas of the starport/town. They’re probably not spying.

3/3 a PC has apparently been banned from a store they haven’t gone to before, for shoplifting, although the first name is wrong, the face is very slightly different, and the age is different too. But who is this person with the same face and last name of the PC?

(This one actually happened to me, but I bet the homeless kid they nabbed for it was making up a name. A similar thing happened to my dad, where a local radio DJ had the same first and last name).

3/4 an entire area is disrupted from usual traffic patterns for holding a fan march to the local stadium for a very popular sporting event. Come on, there might cheap tickets!

3/5 the local sports team lost an interplanetary friendly to an off world team (obviously). The locals take this sport very seriously, and might be willing to challenge offworlders to silly things out of pride (like one on one street matches if the game)
