There is no issue with allowing attachments. This is from Simplelists’ support pages:

“Q: Can HTML formatted emails or attachments be sent using Simplelists?
A:Yes, any sort of emails that you normally send can be sent through Simplelists - Simplelists just forwards them on as they are received to all your email list members.”

We are archiving the list, and it’s accessible here: https://archives.simplelists.com/tml/

This is an advantage of using a paid service vs a free one.

Which reminds me :-/ September was ‘Pay the list provider' month, so anyone willing to chip in a few credits to help cover it are welcome. PayPal at my email address, if you’re so inclined. I just paid it and then immediately got swamped with work so I forgot to mention it then...

A 'no-attachment' flag was mentioned earlier.

How does one ensure that it doesn't cause future problems?

Is it something a user can perform or is it strictly an admin function?
