You may remember David Deitrick as the cover artist for most of the GDW Traveller alien modules: Vargr, Aslan, K'kree, and others. He also did beautiful covers for Star Trek role-playing from FASA, and for GDW's Space: 1889.
He currently has a Kickstarter for a memoir of his boyhood in 1960's Alaska. It's not gaming or RPGs, but it is a nice read. I invite you to go to that project and at least look at it.
