We have a difference of opinion in my view having maneuvering thrusters would negate the need for any craft approach the battle station to put it back into the correct orbit. The computer could handle the corrections and the only need to approach the station would be for refueling, maintenance, and reloading missiles.
Lastly, the Craft design procedure highly recommends all non-starships have a locomotion systems. A locomotion system to operate within a planetary system is an option.
