Hello from the Pacific Northwest Ashley Greenall,

Thank you for reminding me of the the TNE FF&S space missile specifications for volume and mass. I'll have to go back and see what I can do with the launchers.

I am still not understand the TNE Space Missile design procedure since I'm not able to replicate the missiles.

I have not gotten around to seeing what I can do with T4 FF&S Spacecraft Missile design, but at least I have some idea about fitting missiles.

Of course if my MT: Referre's Manual Craft design is correct the 100 ton bay takes up 24 tons more space than what the battle station has left over after installing the other items.

Again, thank you for providing the TNE information.

Page 153 Appendix 1 of TNE FF&S has lists of "standard" socket size for weapons turrets/bays etc, it also has a table of sample space missiles by TL (TL8 through TL15), they are all 7 cubic meters (half displacement ton), and after the table it states that all standard missiles are this size. So that's the same as T4 FF&S

Hope that helps

Morning from the Pacific Northwest,

I still have not figured out TNE FF&S Space Missile construction which means I'm not able to build a launcher.

I then checked out T4: FF&S  Spacecraft Missiles and Launchers pp. 48-49. In T4 the standard spacecraft missile is 7 cubic meters and  has a mass of 7 tons using a detonation (nuclear-pumped?) laser warhead.

For Space Missile Launchers there are launch canisters, a reloadable launch system with/or without an auto-loader, turrets, and bays.

My MT; Referee's Manual Craft Design spreadsheet shows that after installing the fuel, power plant, communicator, and Active EMS I've got approximately 1,376 m^3 to install the missiles

A launch canister have a volume of 1.1 times that of the missile. A single standard T4 spacecraft missile in a canister occupies 7.7 cubic meters . If I've followed the directions correctly my calculations can fit 176 canisters in the battle station.

The launcher system without an auto-loader and magazine I can put 96 missiles onboard. Installing the magazine and auto-loader I can get 25 launchers and 60 reloads.

My calculations determined that a T4 50 ton bay has 23 launch tubes and in the magazine there are 60 reloads.

If my calculation for the fuel, power plant, communicator, and Active EMS leaving 1,376 m^3 is correct a 100 ton bay is not possible.

Now, If I can figure out TNE's space missile sequence I might have a better idea about the battle station being able to mount a 100 ton missile bay.
