Hogg has a first name?! Which book was that mentioned in?

I suspect have a vague memory that it was in the book where Daniel and Hogg returned home to the Bantry estate, where Hogg encountered a contemporary of his from Daniel's childhood, who called him "Peter." But I can't remember said contemporary's name.

However, to be perfectly honest, I was reminded of Hogg's first name by the wikipedia entry on him.

And yes, there's a lot to be said for Hogg as Leary's /fraghta/ - except
that he's not exactly anything that one would want to admit to as 'chief of
staff'.

Dogrobber, yes. Facilitator, yes. But chief of staff (except possibly in the manner that a majordormo is a chief of staff), no.
