The Internet is a gateway to information resources from
next door and around the world: library catalogs,
discussion groups, and a variety of data, bibliographic
and full-text materials. Offered by OHIONET and intended
as a follow-up to last year's highly successful NREN
Conference, this program will provide a practical
hands-on encounter with the Internet. Nationally
known speakers will discuss the wide variety of
resources available and participants will learn
about and use an assortment of new tools, such as
Gopher, WAIS, archie and Veronica, to facilitate
their explorations of the Internet.
