Thanks to everyone who sent me email with regards to the dates for the New
Yorker (vol.75, no. 43-vol.76 no. 7). I received quite a few replies.
The general consensus seems to be:

v.76 no. 1 Feb. 21/28, 2000

Now when I am claiming, I will know that my dates are definitely right --

Christina, our records show vol.75 no. 52 (April 3, 2000) was the last
issue. Cover dates for 76:1 (4/10/00), 76:2 (4/17/00), 76:3 (4/24/00),
76:4 (5/8/00), 76:5 (5/15/00), 76:6 (5/22/00). Incidentally, this last
issue was mislabelled as 76:12. Hope this is helpful.

"for some reason"? If you subscribe via an agent, the reason is
clear: Centrobe gives consistently LOUSY (read my lips: L-O-U-S-Y)
service (as I don't hesitate to tell them, and the journals they
supposedly "serve")! Is this anyone else's experience?

Can anyone give me the date names of the "New Yorker" for volume 76, nos.
1-7? For some reason our library has not received these issues. Also,
did volume 75 of the "New Yorker" end with no. 42 (Jan 17, 2000)? Any
