ALCTS webinar: Digital Project Prioritization Framework

All webinars are one hour in length and begin at 11 am Pacific, noon Mountain, 1 pm Central, and 2 pm Eastern time.
Description: The University of Virginia Library has developed a framework for prioritizing digital projects in all formats originating across the organization. The framework allows for input from all stakeholders and is intended to balance provision of content and resource constraints. This webinar will provide an overview of the team roles and responsibilities, as well as the methodology and tools in use.
Learning outcomes:
At the end of this webinar, attendees will be able to:
understand the principles behind the process;
understand the benefits; and
learn about both proprietary and commonplace tools to implement a similar process in their environment.
Who should attend?
Library staff involved with digital projects. The webinar will address issues of interest to the individuals managing projects as well as practitioners involved with the direct work.
Presenter:
Jennifer O’Brien Roper is the Director, Digital Strategies and the University of Virginia Library in Charlottesville, VA. Over the last twenty years, Jennifer has provided cataloging for circulating collections and rare books, processed manuscripts and established local non-MARC metadata practice. In her current role, she oversees the creation and maintenance of local digital library content, from selection through dissemination.
