There are multiple issues here.
1. Getting the instructions/credentials to access your institution's data. That isn't any different now than it was under COUNTER 4, but maybe just has to be redone for some vendors that have chosen to have entirely separate platforms/credentials.  That's what I call "ERM stuff" and you should contact your vendor's customer service for help with that.

2. Actually retrieving the available reports.  COUNTER 5 was designed with an expectation that there would be a growing number of libraries using automated ("SUSHI") harvester software or 3rd party services to retrieve the reports.
I have a team of CS students working for me this semester for a class project to write up a nice desktop-Windows-based program to do this, and when it's ready (not until April, sorry, end of their semester), if they got it all working I will most definitely be releasing it for free with a CC license.
Other people/companies are offering more or less complex related services.  But all of these will require you to do step 1 first to get your credentials.

3. Making sense of the new data reports and working with them.   As Sarah noted, Project COUNTER has a very nice set of training videos available that they call their "Foundation Classes".
https://www.projectcounter.org/counter-foundation-classes/  - the most recent one gives a very useful tutorial on using pivot tables in Excel, a skill that is very necessary with the new reports, especially if you want to work with the new equivalent of JR5, the 'year of publication' breakdown data.
Having this kind of analysis done for you is what libraries are increasingly paying those third party vendors for, not just literally harvesting the data.

I wasn't sure if the original poster was having problems with 1, 2, or 3, but it sounded like a mix of all three to me.

Seems like this just keeps turning into more and more time and work to gather statistics. I’m having trouble with a few platforms as well…

Subject: [SERIALST] COUNTER 5 Report Set-Up

Good morning,

I am attempting to set up COUNTER 5 usage reports for journals on the Ovid and SilverChair platforms.  I was able to download the reports on the Atypon site for Unique Items by the title of the journal for 2019.  I am not able to figure out how I can download the same reports on the Ovid or SilverChair platforms.  The reports include a listing of the Unique Items, which is way too much information.

Thank you very much.
