The College of the Holy Cross Libraries claims missing print serials' issues. We also have just revisited our claiming process (due to change in personnel and merging of positions). Here's what we are doing currently:
1. Running Sierra claim reports every 2 months.
2. Claiming issues from EBSCO Subscription Services (via EBSCOnet). We are also happy with the response.

Since we have limited staff, we are restricting claims to those print titles we retain and/or bind. Limited retention titles are not claimed (unless we notice we are not receiving multiple, consecutive issues).  And, as an aside, with missing back issues services going out of business, we are not buying back issues (even for binding). EBSCO has an "extras" service but I haven't seen anything that we need so far.

I hope that this helps.

Good Morning,

We are in the process of reviewing our claiming procedures and wanted to check-in with other libraries to see what folks were doing.

Basically, is your library claiming print periodicals, and if yes, how so?

Thanks in advance for any feedback!

Best,
Chris
